The Oyo State Police Command has paraded Muhammad Adekunle, a suspected ritualist alongside four other individuals namely, Muniru Salawudeen, Rashidat Akanji, Ismail Olalekan, and Obaleye Sanmi over l alleged involvement in ritual killings in Ibadan.
Speaking while parading the suspects, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ayodele Sonubi revealed that Adekunle and his accomplices, who are currently at large, were involved in multiple ritualistic murders.
According to the CP, Adekunle and his team lured Adekola Sodiq and Malik Kareem, killed them, and sold their body parts to the arrested suspects for monetary rituals.

Sonubi added that Adekunle further confessed that on August 7, 2024, he and others now at large, stabbed one Malik Kareem to death and severed his head and legs which were sold to one Rashidat Akanji for N70,000 at Oje Market.
Sonubi detailed the gruesome killing during a search warrant execution on August 11, 2024.
“Fresh flesh was recovered from the premises of Adekunle, which he confessed to being parts of Malik Kareem, whom they killed on August 7, 2024,” Sonubi said.
In a related case, the police arrested Muyideen Raimi for exhuming and severing the head of his late cousin, Sulaiman Aromokun.
Raimi admitted to the crime and implicated Sumaila, aka Baba Ibeji, who remains at large.
He, however, condemned the brutality of the crimes and assured of ongoing investigation into the crimes.
