Oyo Police Debunk Kuso’s Abduction

Contrary to the Saturday’s report that one Alhaji Akeem Akintola, popularly known as Kuso, a member of Oyo State Park Management Systems (PMS), was kidnapped by some unknown gunmen, the Oyo State Police Command on Monday debunked the news report, describing the announcement as misinformation and a mischievous one.

Alhaji Akintola was reported to have been kidnapped along with one Mr Segun who is also a member of the PMS, over the weekend along Pasta/Omi Adio Axis of Ibadan.

Debunking the report, the state police Command Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso (SP) in a press statement made available to New Telegraph said “the Oyo State Police Command wishes to clear the air on events surrounding the alleged abduction of one Alhaji Akeem Akintola aka “Kuso”, ‘m’ and another Segun, “m” (Surname yet unknown) both members of the Oyo State Park Management Systems as claimed in certain section of the Social Media as being mischievously untrue and a complete misinformation.

He further maintained that “the duo were invited by intelligence operatives who were on lawful duty from the Force Headquarters, Abuja in connection with their alleged involvements in criminal offences, which include; Criminal Conspiracy, Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery and Unlawful possession of firearms. The complaint is under investigation as update will be provided in due course”.

While reassuring residents of Oyo State and indeed the general public about the Commands’ total commitment in securing lives and property, the Command also enjoined the good people of Oyo State to always provide timely and credible information capable of nipping crime in the bud to the Police at all times.

As the saying goes, “if you see something, say something and the police would do something. In case of emergency, the Command can always be reached through these emergency control room numbers: 07055495413 and 08081768614 with 615 (toll free) for the Oyo State Security Trust Fund”, Osifeso said.
