Oyo Govt Launches Application Portal For Recruitment Of Civil Servants

The Oyo State Government on Wednesday announced plans to recruit 791 new civil servants into its mainstream service.

This marks the largest recruitment drive in the past two decades.

The Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Kamoru Aderibigbe made this announcement in a statement issued in Ibadan, the State capital.

According to Aderibigbe, the recruitment process will involve 230 education officers and 561 other positions across various departments in the state’s civil service.

The online application process will be open from October 7 to October 11, 2024, via the state government’s job portal 

The Chairman emphasized that the online system will promote transparency, fairness, and equity in the recruitment process.

However, applicants are required to meet specific academic criteria.

Applicants applying for degree-level positions must have a minimum of second-class honours from a recognized university.

Also, Polytechnic graduates applying for Higher National Diploma (HND) roles must possess a lower credit.

All candidates are expected to present their NYSC discharge or exemption certificates at the time of application.

Additionally, candidates applying for positions requiring a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) must have at least a merit grade to be eligible.

Aderibigbe assured the public that the recruitment process will be carried out with a focus on competence.

In order to ensure ensure a merit-based system for selecting candidates, political interference will not be condoned as well.
