Osun: We’re Determined To Wrest Power From PDP –NNPP

Osun State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has reiterated its determination to wrest power from the ruling Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in the state in 2026. The party asked Osun people to keep hope alive as it is set to take over the governance from the present ‘confused’ Peoples Democratic Party in the next election. Also, the party in the state said it’s not in support of the stand of Mr Kilamuwaye Badmus, the public relation officer of the party from South West on their new logo.

Recall that the National Executive Council of the party had during their last congress in Abuja introduced a new logo for the party. But Kilamuwaye in a press statement faulted the plan to change the party’s logo, insisting that it was an overnight move that is not acceptable to members of the party in the South West.’ Kilamuwaye said the plan to change the logo was not officially passed to the members to seek their opinion and so it cannot stand the test of time. In a reaction, Osun NNPP, through its Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Akinyode, said due process was followed before the endorsement of the new logo.
