Osun Assembly Moves To Increase Office Holders, Others’ Stipends

The Osun State House of Assembly yesterday passed a bill increasing the monthly stipends of political office holders and others in the state. This is as the Osun State Public/Political Office Holders Revised Remuneration Package Amendment No 2; Bill 2024 scaled the third reading on the floor of the House of Assembly.

At yesterday’s sitting, the House Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Adekunle Oladimeji, moved the motion for the final passage of the Bill, and it was seconded by the Chief Whip of the House, Hon. Olawale Akerele. The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun disclosed that a clean copy of the Bill would be forwarded to the Governor, Ademola Adeleke for signing into law.
