Osimhen Removes All Traces Of Napoli From X Profile

Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen has proven that he is still not happy with Napoli as he removed all references to the Italian side from his X page and replaced them with content related to Galatasaray.

This is unexpected because Osimhen is still contracted to Napoli until 2027 which means that there is still a possibility that he would return to the former Italian champions at the end of this season.

Recall that Osimhen decided to move to Turkish side, Galatasaray on a season-long loan after the 25-year-old striker failed to move to his dream club, Chelsea due to poor wage offers.

As he awaits his debut with Galatasaray after the international break, Osimhen decided to undertake some significant updates on his X handle following a request from a user named Pink Tony to change his bio.

Despite initial disagreements from some users, Osimhen eventually made the update, now proudly identifying himself as a professional football player for Galatasaray and the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The new bio is accompanied by a display picture of Osimhen in a Galatasaray jersey, with his face cropped out. His banner image features him wearing the number 45 shirt with his daughter, symbolizing a fresh start in his career.

This move has sparked discussions among fans, many of whom are eagerly anticipating Osimhen’s debut for Galatasaray.

Osimhen’s departure from Napoli, where he had made significant contributions including helping the club win the Scudetto, was accompanied by some controversy. Despite his past successes, the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli soured when he expressed his desire to leave the club and was subsequently left out of their pre-season and initial Serie A matches.

Osimhen is set to make his first appearance for Galatasaray on September 15 in a Turkish Super Lig fixture against Rizespor.
