Oshiomhole To Members Of Edo APC Guber Campaign Council: Go Win Your Units, Wards, LGAs

The Chairman of the Edo State APC Governorship Campaign Council and Senator representing Edo North, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole on Friday admonished the 264-man Campaign Council Committee to go win their units, wards and local governments for the party in the coming September 21 governorship election.

Oshiomhole, who was a two-time governor of the state on the platform of the APC made the remarks at the APC Campaign Council inauguration ceremony at the party secretariat, Benin City.

He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the September 21 governorship election democratically, without rigging, violence or any form of manipulation, and urged all members of the party in Edo State to see themselves as members of the Campaign Council, who will win their neighbours for the party.

He said the state will witness a massive development when the candidate of the party, Senator Monday Okpebholo wins the governorship election in September.

“Democratically, there will be a change in Osadebe Avenue come November. Every member of the APC in Edo State is a member of the Campaign Council and I urge every member, no matter what position you occupy. Go and win your Unit, your Ward and Local Government. We should win our neighbours for APC. Neighbours talk to neighbours, neighbours understand.

“APC will win the election democratically, no rigging, no violence and no manipulation.”

Speaking, the Director General of the Senator Monday Okpebholo Governorship Campaign Council, Senator Matthew Urhoghide urged all members to bury their differences and unite in order for them to achieve their common goal.
He said, “The task ahead is tough and the assignment big”, but expressed optimism that the party will win the election.

Earlier, the State Chairman of the APC, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, acknowledged the late Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, Prof. Ambrose Alli and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as three governors who provided good governance for the state.

He stated that Governor Godwin Obaseki was supposed to continue from where Oshiomhole stopped but he failed, adding that the result is the flooding Benin was witnessing and the lack of red-roof schools across the state.

He promised that by the time Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa come on board, those things would come back, expressing the hope that the Campaign Council led by Senator Urhoghide would work hard to deliver victory to the APC.
