One Killed, Two Others Nabbed In Ajegunle Cult Clashes

The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have said a 25-year-old suspected cultist has been slain following cult clashes in Ajegunle, Lagos State.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s Spokesman who confirmed this to reporters on Saturday disclosed that police had arrested two people in connection with the incidents.

Hundeyin revealed that police received a distress call on Friday from suspected cultists on Nasamu and Iyalode Streets in Ajegunle who were indulging in a free-for-all.

During the skirmishes, he claims that the suspected cultists wrecked six commercial vehicles at the Boundary Roundabout in Ajegunle.

“Based on the report, teams of policemen mobilised to the scene and dislodged the suspects, many of whom fled the scene.
