Following the incessant case of one chance in Abuja, CP Benneth C. Igweh, Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued an order prohibiting all vehicles from driving on Abuja roads with a single or no number plate.
In a statement published Saturday night by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the CP ordered that vehicles with one or no plate number be confiscated and the driver arrested for prosecution.
According to the PPRO, the majority of the ‘one chance’ armed robberies used “vehicles with single or no number plates”.
The unlawful act has piqued the public’s interest, and many have begun to question the police’s ability in combating the scourge.

Sunday Telegraph gathered that some naïve folks have continued to lose their lives and even belongings as a result of the unscrupulous individuals’ actions.
Many residents have been discovered deceased by the roadside after being reported missing by family members as a result of a one-time robbery in the nation’s capital.
Adeh stated that the police CP also cautioned the territory’s car sellers not to park their vehicles in unauthorized parking lots.
He also warned them not to drive after the specified time, which is 6 p.m., threatening that violators would face the full wrath of the law.
She noted that the act was against section 25 (5) of the Federal Capital Territory Road Transport Regulation Act, 2005.
