The operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a 34-year-old man, Monday Chukwu, for allegedly stabbing his friend, Kefa Ofando, 30, to death during a dispute over a N2,000 debt.
New Telegraph gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred in Akintola village, Odigbo Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the development, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Oladipo Abayomi said the altercation escalated after Ofando demanded repayment of the loan.

In a fit of rage, Chukwu reportedly stabbed Ofando in the neck with a pair of scsors.
The victim succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital due to excessive blood loss.
The police, responding swiftly to a complaint, apprehended Chukwu, who is now in custody.
An investigation revealed that the conflict began after Ofando asked Chukwu to repay the N2,000 he had borrowed.
The Ondo State Police Command has launched further investigations into the case, and the suspect will face charges soon.
