Concerns citizens of Ondo State under the umbrella of ‘Moments of Truth’ have appealed to the members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to support the governorship ambition of Chief Olusola Oke.
Speaking at a press conference at the weekend, the leader of the group, Dr Benson Enikuomehin, said the ruling party needs to choose someone of good character and integrity like Chief Oke. Enikuomehin said any candidate that will reduce the eight-year tenure of the people of Ondo South should not be supported.
He said: “We the people of Ondo South want to produce the next governor of the state and Chief Olusola Oke is the best man for the job. We know him and we have interacted with him because he is a man of his people.
“We know him and we have discussed with him. People of Ondo State, we have been with Chief Olusola Oke. We know Chief Olusola Okwe have discussed with him, and we know his antecedents and I can tell for free that Chief is a man of his people.
“Therefore, when you give the boat to the man who knows how to paddle the boat, it is easy to seal across the sea because if you give it to somebody who doesn’t know how to paddle it, you and the person will end up in the river. “We have a man who is an Agaguism, who studied him, who knows his intellectual prowess and intellectual capability to say where my former boss stopped, i will continue.
One of the advantages Oke possesses is that he learned from the Agagu School of thought and he has come to learn under the versatile and dynamic President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “Of all the lot in Ondo South Senatorial District that is gunning for this position, Chief Olusola Alexander Oke, Senior Advocate of Nigeria stands tall.
And therefore all the delegates that will be casting their votes on the 20th of April, 2024 in Ondo State should look in no other direction than in this direction. “We are lawyers capable of assessing, analyzing and looking at people critically and to say for you we can give it to you. “Therefore, we give it to him that he can lead l, direct, guide and negotiate among the community of nations and protect our interests.”
