Omo-Agege Debunks Defection Rumours

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has firmly denied rumours making rounds that he had allegedly defected to a new political party name, Team New Nigerian (TNN).

Debunking the defection rumours, Omo-Ageg described the claims as “Completely false and malicious.”

In a statement issued by his office, signed by his Special Adviser, Godwin Anaughe, Omo-Agege reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He described the rumours as a smear campaign by blackmailers attempting to damage his reputation and create unnecessary political tension.

The statement reads, “Senator Omo-Agege is not a member, has never been a member, has no intention of becoming a member, and is not even familiar with TNN,” the statement clarified.

As the APC leader in Delta State, Omo-Agege has consistently advocated for the party’s values and progressive governance.

His office emphasized that throughout his political career, he has championed good governance and the well-being of Nigerian citizens.

The senator also reiterated his strong support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on driving Nigeria toward economic growth, security, and enhanced welfare for all citizens. Omo-Agege highlighted the agenda’s goals of fostering economic empowerment, improving infrastructure, ensuring national security, and enhancing access to quality education and healthcare.

Expressing confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, Omo-Agege reaffirmed his belief that every Nigerian should have equal access to opportunities and resources for a better life. He further assured the public of his continued loyalty to the APC and dedication to its mission of building a prosperous Nigeria.

The statement concluded by urging those responsible for spreading the false rumours to stop the malicious attacks and instead engage constructively in political discourse.
