Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has come hard on those he described as detractors for accusing his administration of cutting corners in the ongoing flyover construction at the Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Junction in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
The governor said he has since declared zero tolerance for shoddy jobs and any form of sharp practices in project delivery. The Commissioner for Works (Highways and Urban Roads), Reuben Izeze, during the inspection of the flyover bridge yesterday, said it was unfortunate that detractors turned blind eyes to quality service delivery of the governor.
He lamented that bad losers in the last election that cannot accept the outcome of the exercise have publicly alleged that this project is not being constructed according to specifications, despite not having seen the bill of quantities.
