NNPP Chairmen Forum Mourns Ex-Ogun Chairman’s Demise

The Forum of State Chairmen of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has mourned the demise of an erstwhile chairman of the party in Ogun State, Alhaji Adekunle Ibrahim.

New Telegraph gathered that Adekunle died on Thursday morning, August 8 after a brief illness.

A statement issued by the Chairman and Secretary of the Forum, Dr Tosin Odeyemi and Rambi Ibrahim Ayala, Esq, respectively, described Adekunle’s demise as a devastating loss to NNPP and the nation at large.

The Forum said Adekunle was a very strong unifying factor in the party and his contributions to the course of NNPP, especially in the South West, can not be forgotten in an haste.

The statement reads in part, ‘We are sad to hear about the demise of our former Chairman in Ogun State, Alhaji Adekunle Ibrahim.

‘He was one of us, he handed over to the incumbent Chairman of Ogun state at the last convention of our great party.

‘While alive, he attended all meetings and supported this forum wholeheartedly, we are aware of all he went through for the party to remain in one accord.

‘He demonstrated a great sense of patriotism during the challenging periods of NNPP till we have a stable and admirable party.

‘Our heart goes to the family members and political associates Alhaji Adekunle left behind and we pray that God in His infinite mercy will comfort them at this critical period.

‘It’s indeed a black day for this forum and Southwest as a zone. May his soul RIP’.
