As part of efforts to boost the agricultural sector, the Senator Representing Niger East Senatorial District of Niger State, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa (313) has distributed 4,050 bags of fertilizers to farmers in his constituency.
While assuring fairness in the distribution irrespective of party affiliations, Senator Musa assured that every farmer shall benefit through their various coordinators from the council to the local government’s committee headed by the council chairman for onward distribution.
He made this disclosure during the flag-off and free distribution of fertilizer for the 2024 farming season across 9 local government areas of his Zone.
The fertilizers consist of 1,000 urea and 3,050 NPK bags respectively.
The Senator who was represented by the state Deputy Speaker, Afiniki Eunice Dauda said each local government area is to get a total of 450 bags.
The Political Adviser to the governor on political affairs, Mohammed Nma Kolo urged other elected officials to emulate the SSenatorfor the zone to achieve total development.
He reiterated the commitment of Senator Sani Musa in ensuring that peace and stability return to his constituency, especially in the three most affected local government areas of Shiroro, Munya and Rafi.
Speaking on behalf of other council chairmen, the chairman of Rafi LGA, Alhaji Ayuba Katako appreciated the kind gesture and assured of fair distribution of the fertilizers to the beneficiaries.
The benefiting local governments include; Bosso, Chanchaga, Gurara, Rafi, Munya, Shiroro, Suleja, Tafa and Paikoro.
