Netizens React As Headies Snub Wizkid First Time In 12 Years

For the first time since 2011, the famous afrobeat superstar singer,  Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has been snubbed by the 16th edition of the headies award 2023.

New Telegraph had on Wednesday reported that the organizers of the annual event announced the names of nominees for 2023 award and checks from our correspondent shows that Wizkid bagged no nomination this year.

But the likes of Burna Boy, Rema, Oxlade, Davido, Asake, Odumodublvck, Spyro, Bnxn and many others were nominated in different categories for the upcoming event except Wizkid.

Although Wizkid had the highest number of awards from the organizers, with a total number of 20 Headies awards over the years of his booming music career, despite not being nominated for this year award.

With the recent development on the Headies awards, fans and music lovers all over Nigeria have dropped their take on the controversy trailing the organizers of the event.

Reactions trailing Wizkid snub at 2023 Headies Awards;
