NECO Registrar Elected To AEAA Executive Council

The National Examinations Council (NECO) Registrar, Dantani Wushishi, has been elected to the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA) executive council.

The professor was elected as the West Africa Representative at the just-concluded 40th Conference of the association in Cape Town, South Africa.

In a statement yesterday, NECO said Wushishi would serve in the eight-member council with members drawn from other examination bodies across Africa.

The AEAA was established in 1982 to promote cooperation among examining and assessment bodies in Africa. It is saddled with the harmonisation of educational assessment on the continent.

This year’s conference had the theme: “Reimagining Education Assessment in the Age of Multiple Dimensions of Learning in a Global Society”.

The conference, which started on August 19, ended on August 23 with over 21 active primary members as well as other public and private institutions and organisations from across the world in attendance.
