Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was named among a three-man midfield of himself, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, and Dwight McNeil of Everton in Whoscored’s Premier League Team of the Month of September.
Whoscored, a website that provides comprehensive football statistics, live scores, and in-depth analysis for football fans globally says the Nigerian was the best defensive midfielder in the whole of the Premier League last month Ndidi has featured for the Foxes in both attacking and defensive roles under Steve Cooper.
“In a more offensive berth, Ndidi provided assists against the likes of Crystal Palace and Arsenal during September, while he retained his defensive prowess, making 17 tackles, eight clearances and eight aerial wins,’ Whoscored wrote about the Nigerian and scored him 7.76 out of a possible 10, the fourth highest among the 11 players chosen.
