Naira Abuse: Cubana Chief Priest Advices Nigerians, Says EFCC Not Joking

Popular billionaire business man and celebrity barman, Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest has urged Nigerians to ensure they steer clear of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Cubana Chief Priest made this remark after he agreed to an out-of-court settlement with the anti-graft agency.

Speaking after the court proceedings on Thursday, the celebrity barman said  Nigerians won’t like the kind of stress EFCC put suspects through during trial.

Taking to his Instagram page, Cubana wrote: “Court day, problem no good Oh, @officialefcc No Dey Joke Oh !!!! Better stay away from their wahala, I’m sure you will not love to pass through this Kinda stress I’m passing through.”

New Telegraph reports that a Federal High Court in Lagos fixed June 5 for a report of settlement in the case against Cubana Chief Priest, over alleged abuse of the naira.

The EFCC had on April 17 arraigned Cubana Chief Priest on three counts of spraying and tampering with the naira notes during a social event at Eko Hotel in Lagos State.

He had pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail in the sum of N10 million.

Justice Kehinde Ogundare then adjourned the case until May 2, for hearing of the preliminary objection and trial
