
The 22 Quick Response Wing of the Nigerian Air Force, (NAF) in Nasarawa State, on Wednesday intercepted a busload of Indian hemp in the state.
This is as the state command also arrested and detained a 32-year-old man identified as Yusuf Ibrahim of Bakin Rijiya, Lafia East Area of the state in connection to the drug.
New Telegraph gathered that Ibrahim was found in possession of 80 bags of cannabis sativa, also known as Indian hemp.
The interception occurred during a patrol mission to combat criminal activity in the state, including kidnapping, banditry, and armed robbery.
The culprit was apprehended near the Shabu region of the Lafia North Development region.

He attempted to flee in a J-5 truck stocked with illegal substances but was arrested by Nigerian Air Force soldiers. The driver and his accomplices retreated into the forest near Bakin Rijiya.
Ibrahim admitted to conveying the drugs to Moses Essein, who lives in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The Nigerian Air Force turned Ibrahim over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), in Nasarawa State for additional investigation and prosecution.
