Super Eagles stand-in captain, William Troost-Ekong, has said Ahmed Musa is still the captain skipper of the side.
Musa, who joined Kano Pillars recently, has yet to play for the Eagles since the last African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, but Ekong told journalists at the media parley ahead of tomorrow’s AFCON qualifier against Libya that he is happy to stand in for the erstwhile CSKA Moscow star.
“We’re happy he’s back,” Ekong said at yesterday’s media parley in Ikot Ekpene. “He’s still our captain and he’s welcome back any time.
“He’s our most capped player, a good role model, he’s a good leader. “I am happy to deputise for him.” Ahmed Musa himself recently said he has not yet retired from international football.
