The burial ceremony of the late veteran Nollywood actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu has begun in his hometown of Amuri, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
New Telegraph had months ago reported that Mr Ibu died of cardiac arrest in Lagos at the age of 62 in March 2024.
Before his demise, the comic actor had one of his legs amputated due to an illness, of which after a few weeks of recovery was declared dead.

The Enugu-born actor came to the limelight in 2004 with the movie “Mr Ibu,” featuring another popular actor, the late Ita Iheme.
The deceased starred in more than 200 Nollywood films, including ‘Mr Ibu,’ ‘Mr Ibu and His Son,’ ‘Coffin Producers,’ ‘Husband Suppliers,’ ‘International Players,’ ‘Mr Ibu in London,’ ‘Police Recruit’ and many others.
