Military High Command Activates Toll-Free Help Line

In furtherance of its commitment to enhancing communication and collaboration between the public and security agencies, the Military High Command has officially launched a new toll-free helpline for Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH).

Major Samson Nantip Zhakom, the Media Information Officer for Operation SAFE HAVEN who made this announcement in a press statement issued on Tuesday, emphasized the importance of this measure.

According to the statement, this initiative is designed to facilitate the quick reporting of emergencies and security concerns within the Operation SAFE HAVEN Joint Operations Area.

The toll-free number, 0800 000 20203, is now fully operational and will serve as a direct communication link between citizens and the Headquarters of Operation SAFE HAVEN, located in Jos.

The primary goal is to ensure that reports regarding security breaches or other matters of concern reach the relevant authorities in a timely manner, enabling a swift and efficient response.

Zhakom encouraged the general public to make use of this number for any security emergencies or concerns, assuring the community of OPSH’s commitment to promptly addressing and resolving reported issues.

Operation SAFE HAVEN is a military operation aimed at maintaining peace and security in Plateau and parts of Kaduna and Bauchi States, and this latest development is seen as a step towards strengthening the security framework in the region.

The Military High Command urges citizens to use the toll-free line responsibly and avoid the spread of misinformation, as the number is strictly meant for legitimate security-related reports.
