A middle age man has been electrocuted at the Ikoyi area of Lagos State while allegedly attempting to vandalise a transformer.
The suspect, it was learnt went into a company premises to vandalized transformer, but was electrocuted in the process, while trying to climb the gate by the side of the transformer.
Confirming the story, the stat Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement yesterday said the victim died on the spot.
A lead anti-crime patrol team visited the scene, took photographs, and contacted the PHCN office. The remains of the unidentified man have been taken to the mortuary.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
