Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murder In Bradford

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following a house fire in Bradford.

The fire accident claimed the lives of a 29-year-old woman and three children, aged one, five, and nine.

The fire occurred on Westbury Road early Wednesday morning, with the woman pronounced dead at the scene and the children succumbing to their injuries in the hospital.

West Yorkshire Police reported that a 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is in critical condition in the hospital due to injuries sustained in the fire.

Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson described the incident as “absolutely devastating” and confirmed that preliminary investigations suggest the fire was started deliberately.

“At this time, we do believe the incident is domestic related,” Atkinson added, urging anyone with information or relevant footage to contact the police.

Specially trained officers are supporting the victims’ family, and local officers are conducting inquiries and providing reassurance in the community.
