A 22-year-old Yusuf Musa has been prosecuted by the Zuba Magistrates’ Court in Abuja for allegedly stealing N500,000 in items.
New Telegraph gathered that Musa, a wheelbarrow worker at Zuba Hansel, is charged with stealing on Friday, May 31.
Mr Chinedu Ogada, the Prosecuting Counsel, informed the court that the complainant, Mrs Ebere Simon of Zuba Electrical Market Abuja, reported the incident to the Zuba Police Station on May 15.
Ogada stated that Simon hired Musa as a wheelbarrow pusher to transport her products valued at N500,000 from Hansel Zuba to Zuba Electrical Market.
He claimed the defendant transferred the goods to his brothers, who are now at large, diverted and sold them.
According to Ogada, Musa used the money for personal reasons.

The prosecutor stated that during the investigations, the defendant was unable to provide a satisfactory account of himself.
He informed the court that the offence violated Section 287 of the Penal Code.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Abdulazeez Mohammed, ordered that,the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with a surety in the same amount.
He further said that the surety reside in the court’s jurisdiction and provide reliable identification.
He however adjourned the hearing to June 13.
