An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State capital has remanded Mutiu Balogun, 46, in a correctional facility for allegedly killing a 70-year-old man.
New Telegraph gathered that Balogun, whose address is withheld was on Wednesday charged with murder.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, did not take the defendant’s plea for lack of jurisdiction.
Sanusi-Zubair asked the police to return the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution for a legal opinion, after which the matter was adjourned until June 25 for a hearing.
