The operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have nabbed a man who allegedly killed his younger brother during a fight in the new Iba Area of the State.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of their fight is yet to be ascertained, however, the Police said the tragedy occurred on Friday, August 30.
Confirming the unfortunate incident, the spokesman for the State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hudenyin explained that the incident was reported at the Iba Police Division on August 24, 2024.
He said a resident reported “that on August 23, 2024, at about 11 pm, one Ayodeji Busari of Iba Lagos, pushed his 47-year-old younger brother during a fight, causing him to hit his head on the pavement.
His younger brother came from Port-Harcourt, Rivers State to visit his friend.
“The victim became unconscious and was rushed to Igando General Hospital for treatment but was later confirmed dead by the Medical Doctor on duty.

The scene of the crime was seen, photographs of the corpse were taken, and the corpse was removed and deposited at Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba, for autopsy.
“The case file of the suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID Yaba, for an in-depth investigation.”he said
