Lukaku Can Be Chelsea’s Saviour

Arsenal legend, Ian Wright has hinted that he feels Romelu Lukaku could be playing for Chelsea next season, despite being shipped out on loan last summer.

The forward has been able to get his career back on track at Inter Milan, and he has been advised to return to Stamford Bridge because he ‘owes it to himself’.

Chelsea are desperately lacking presence in the final third this season, with players being modelled into the striker role in the hope of filling the void.

Kai Havertz and Joao Felix – both naturally No 10s – have both attempted to lead the line this season, with Raheem Sterling also trialled in the role.

However, the trio have struggled and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s return to the Blues’ starting eleven has proven how desperate the club are to sign a new striker.

Reportedly Soon-to-be Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to have identified a No 9 as a top target upon his arrival in the dugout, though the former Tottenham boss is only open to welcoming new signings once he has reduced the size of his squad and offloaded fringe stars.

And according to insiders Lukaku fits the bill he wishes for.
