Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly reached a salary agreement with Atalanta and Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman.
However, French Ligue 1 side are yet to fully commit to finalizing the deal and are exploring other options before deciding on Ademola Lookman’s transfer, according to Sports Zone.
Lookman himself is eager to join PSG despite receiving concrete interest from Saudi Arabia, particularly from Al-Ahli, who aimed to pair him up with Riyad Mahrez and Ivan Toney in a new attacking setup.

Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has expressed uncertainty about Lookman’s future with the Serie A side after the player expressed his desire to leave for PSG.
This was evident when the 26-year-old Super Eagles forward did not participate in Atalanta’s opening game of the 2024-2025 Serie A season against Lecce and was excluded from the squad due to transfer-related reasons.
Reports emerged suggesting that PSG had contacted Lookman’s representatives and expressed interest in his availability, with indications that they are willing to double his current salary to secure his transfer.
PSG was compelled to enter the transfer market after Gonçalo Ramos, their Portuguese forward, sustained an injury that could potentially sideline him for three months.
Although Atalanta have not issued an official statement regarding Lookman’s potential departure, Coach Gasperini’s comments imply uncertainty about the player’s future at the club.
Since joining Atalanta in 2022 from RB Leipzig for €9.35 million plus bonuses, Ademola Lookman has been a consistently outstanding player at the club, contributing 32 goals and 18 assists in 79 competitive appearances.
Last season, Lookman made history by becoming the sixth player to score a hat-trick in a European final, achieving this feat in Atalanta’s victory over Bayer Leverkusen in Dublin.
