The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in the Local Government elections conducted by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KAD-SIECOM).
Saturday Telegraph reports that APC won all the 23 chairmanship positions and all 255 councillorship seats across the state.
The KAD-SIECOM Chairperson, Hajara Mohammed who announced the results on Saturday said eight political parties participated in the elections.

According to her, APC secured all the chairmanship seats in all the Local Governments including Birnin-Gwari.
Other Local Governments include, Chikun, Igabi, Ikara, Jaba, Jema’a, Kachia, Kaduna North, and Kaduna South.
The party also triumphed in other Local Governments like Kagarko, Kajuru, Kaura, Kubau, Kudan, Lere, Makarfi, Sabon Gari, and Zaria.
Meanwhile, Governor Uba Sani who spoke after casting his vote in Kaduna North Local Government Area, praised the smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections across the state.
Despite minor issues reported in three polling units, the governor expressed satisfaction with the voter turnout and overall transparency of the process.
The Inter-party Advisory Council (IPAC) Kaduna chapter also described the elections as largely peaceful and transparent.
Although it noted that some areas experienced delays due to the late arrival of voting materials.
