
The Senator representing Plateau North Senatorial District and ADP leader in Plateau State, Sen. Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang
has charged party leaders to democratize processes and mobilize grassroots support for the upcoming local government elections in the State.
It would be recalled that the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission PLASIEC had fixed 9th October 2024 to conduct elections in the 17 Local Government Councils of the State.
But, Senator Dachungyang during a high-level engagement with Leaders of Action Democratic Party ADP in Jos emphasized the need for an open-door policy, receptiveness to new members, and unity among leaders.
He disclosed instructions from the National Headquarters to redouble efforts and recalibrate tendencies for a successful outing.
The Lawmaker who was elected during a bye-election in February 2024 after the ruling of the Appeal Court that nullified the election of former Senate Minority Leader Sen. Simon Mwadkwon said Plans are underway to constitute an ‘Elders Council’ for quality advice and guidance to the ADP as a party.
The State Chairman of ADP the State Hon. Bitrus Boyi Ngah appreciated the Senator and harped on the need for leaders to work with the party’s ideals.
