Lautech: We’ll Accord Education Priority, Says Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has prom- ised to continue to ensure priority for education in the State. He said this yesterday at the grand finale of the 16th Convocation ceremonies of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Represented by the State Commissioner for Educa- tion Science and Technol- ogy, Professor Soliu Adela- bu, the governor said he recognised the immense contribution of the Gov- erning Council of the Insti- tution under Prof.

Ayodeji Omole, while promising to pay attention to making the people happy. Highlights of the events included Awards of Post- graduate Diplomas and higher degrees, while it climaxed with the award of two Honorary Doctorate Degrees in Civil Law and Technology respectively, to Alhaji Ahmed Adeniyi Raji (SAN), and Engr. Yinka Ayoola Ajao.
