The Lagos State Police Command has cleared Nollywood actress, Lizzy Anjorin-Lawal of theft allegations following an incident at Oba Akintoye Market, Lagos Island.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin who spoke on Friday revealed that the claims against the actress, who was accused of stealing gold, were based on misunderstanding.
The investigation established that the seller provided an incorrect account number, which led Anjorin-Lawal to mistakenly transfer the payment to the wrong account.

Although she rectified the mistake by transferring the money again to the correct account, the initial confusion resulted in accusations of theft.
In a video that went viral earlier this year, traders were seen accusing and assaulting Anjorin-Lawal.
Following the incident, six traders were arrested and charged with assault and blackmail.
The police investigation revealed that the actress was not guilty of theft, and the accusations were made in error.
Despite the case reaching court, Anjorin-Lawal chose to withdraw her complaint, and the matter was subsequently dropped.
The traders involved in the assault had confirmed in their police statements that the mistake was theirs, and that they had wrongfully accused the actress.
The court proceedings against the traders continued, with all defendants pleading not guilty to charges of assault and breach of public peace.
Magistrate A.A. Paul granted them bail, with each defendant required to provide one surety and a bail sum of N200,000.
The traders were remanded in custody pending fulfillment of their bail conditions.
