The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) says the construction of the 700km Lagos to Calabar coastal highway is critical to national development. President Fegalo Nsuke stated this when he met with a group of Ogoni students at the national secretariat of MOSOP in Bori in the Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Nsuke said the project would enhance communication, support the distribution chain and create jobs via increased economic activities engendered by the road network. The project will traverse Ogun, Ondo, Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Akwa Ibom before reaching its final destination in Cross River.
