Lagos Agency Writes Police Over Alleged Violence Against Miss Okoli

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has written to the Divisional Police Officer, Festac Police Station, to help investigate a case of alleged domestic violence against one Miss Amaka Okoli, who allegedly suffered physical, emotional and verbal abuse from her boyfriend, one Mr. Maxwell, who is also the father of her child.

This followed a complaint by the father to Miss Amaka Okoli, Mr Ernest Okoli, who alleged that his daughter was registered at a spiritual delivery center located at the Opic, Iba, by Mr Maxwell.

According to Mr Okoli, Maxwell took Miss Okoli to a spiritual delivery center, where she experienced complications during childbirth and was later transferred to an hospital.

Despite medical advice, Maxwell discharged her and returned her to the spiritual center, where she was allegedly beaten and burned with fire.

The agency in a letter to The Psychologist, Enville Centre and signed by Agu Nnabuike Chibuzo, GBV Case Officer, is also seeking counseling services support for Miss Okoli’s emotional recovery.
