The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the 2023 general election, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has called on relevant authorities to take immediate action to address the severe flooding affecting Maiduguri and other parts of Borno State.
Kwankwaso who spoke via his verified X handle described the situation as “horrifying” and urged those in positions to help to provide necessary assistance to the affected communities.
The former Kano State Governor expressed his condolences to the victims of the flooding, saying, “I have seen horrifying images from Maiduguri, where many parts of the city are submerged by water.
