Kogi State Government has outrightly condemned the recent attack on the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (DSP) in the last gubernatorial election in the State, Alhaji Muritala Yakubu Ajaka at the Supreme Court shortly after the determination of the electoral litigations involving the Governors of Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa States.
The attack, carried out by unidentified hoodlums, has drawn widespread condemnation, with Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo describing the act as “barbaric, uncivilized, and a grave danger to the institution of justice.”
Condemning the attack, Governor Ododo in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo urged Nigerians to refrain from resorting to violence as he called on thez law enforcement agencies to swiftly identify and bring the perpetrators to justice.

He emphasized the need to protect the integrity and safety of court environments across the country.
The state government, however, reiterated its commitment to constitutionalism and unity.
It also called on Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, which it says is dedicated to the progress and development of the nation.
