Kano To Tackle Menace Of GBV, Child Abuse Through Special Court – CJ

Disturbed by the continuous perpetration of gender-based violence and child rights abuse in Kano State, the state’s Chief Judge, Justice Dije Aboki, has said that the state is working towards the creation of a special court that would allow for speedy dispensation of justice and also tackle the menace.

Speaking at the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) programme, Nigeria:

2nd Quarter NEC/Pre Convention Meeting in Kano, yesterday with the theme; Ensuring Access To Justice For Indigent Women and Children in Nigeria, Justice Dije Aboki, hinted that in the face of emerging challenges such as gender violence, rape and child abuse, a special court to try perpetrators is needed to tackle the menace.
