Kano: APC, Kwankwaso In War Of Words Over Palliative Distribution

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has engaged in a war of words with Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), over the distribution of palliatives in the state.

The State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, criticized Kwankwaso for his disapproval of the Federal Government’s method of distributing palliatives, stating that President Bola Tinubu was dissatisfied with the previous exercise in the state.

Abbas accused the NNPP of frustrating the federal government’s efforts to reduce hunger in the country, citing instances of diversion of palliatives by individuals associated with the NNPP.

The APC chairman also defended President Tinubu’s decision regarding the posting and reposting of directors of the Department of State Services, citing his commitment to ensuring diligent heads of security agencies are posted to Kano State.

He attributed the prevailing insecurity in the state to the NNPP government’s alleged support for violent youth.

This development highlights the ongoing political tensions between the APC and NNPP in Kano State, with both parties trading accusations and counter-accusations over governance and leadership.

The spat between Abbas and Kwankwaso underscores the intense political rivalry in the state, with each side seeking to outmanoeuvre the other ahead of future elections.
