Some gunmen suspected to be terrorists have reportedly attacked Plateau State University (PLASU) to capture students.
Mr John Agams, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, who confirmed the ugly incident to NAN, said the terrorists storm the school on Tuesday night.
According to the PRO, the security operatives of the institution were able to repel the gunmen who invaded the female hostel.
Agams who explains that none of the students was captured, lamented that one student was injured during the unfortunate incident.
“Gunmen attempted to kidnap some of our students, but the attempt was repelled by our local security men.
“In the process, one student was injured, but no student was abducted.
“The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Benard Matur, is currently at the school premises and appealing to students to be peaceful,” he said.
