JUST-IN: Owa Obokun Of Ijesaland, Oba Aromolaran Joins Ancestors

The Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, has joined his ancestors.

New Telegraph reliably gathered that the foremost traditional ruler passed away after a brief illness.

Though, the palace of Owa Obokun has not issued any official statement, sources from the palace confirmed the monarch’s death.

“Baba has passed, but we are waiting for the official announcement from the palace, she said.

Our Correspondent who visited the palace observed the presence of security personnel around the palace.

He also observed that some traditional rites typically performed following the demise of a king are being carried out.

It would be recalled that the monarch reigned for over 40 years.
