The Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abubakar Kyari has emerged as the acting National Chairman of the ruling party.
This comes hours after Senator Abdullahi Adamu resign from his position as the party’s National Chairman.
According to the party’s constitution, the Deputy National Chairman from the zone would take over in an acting capacity if a National Chairman resigned.

Kyari guided several NWC members into a meeting that was taking place in the midst of intense security at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
