The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on a nationwide strike except the Federal Government responds to its demands.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by its President, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke at the ASUU national headquarters in Abuja.
Speaking with newsmen, the Staff Union blamed the failure of the Federal Government to take action after dissolving the governing council of universities in May last year for the impending strike action.
