June 12: PDP Chief Faults Tinubu’s Speech, Says It Lacks Hope

A leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Hakeem Olalemi, has said the speech delivered by President Bola Tinubu on the occasion of the June 12 celebration is evidence that the current administration has nothing to offer the country.

Olalemi in a statement said he is not surprised that the President cannot use an occasion to inform the people of his efforts in the last year to revive the economy of the country which has remained moribund under his watch. He said: “We have listened to the broadcast made by President Bola Tinubu and we are compelled to pity the Nigeria masses because it is evident that the current administration has nothing in its covers to offer our country and by extension its citizens.

“It is not surprising that the President cannot use an occasion to inform the people of his efforts in the last year to revive the economy of the country which has remained moribund under the watch of the political party APC, which the President remains the leader since inception but rather he turned the occasion to a history lesson to justify his campaign slogan of Emilokan.”
