Jigawa Police Nab Wanted Criminal In Kano

The Jigawa State Police Command has apprehended a 25-year-old Abubakar Alhassan, a wanted criminal on charges of conspiracy, armed robbery, and culpable homicide in Gabasawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

Confirming the arrest, the command’s spokesman, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam said the suspect was apprehended in the Ringim local government during a raid on a criminal hideaway at the Tsuru Fulani village.

According to him “On 18/04/24 at about 2030hrs, acting on Credible Intelligence, Policemen attached to Ringim Division swiftly raided a criminal hideout at Tsuru Fulani settlement, Ringim LGA.”


He also said that during the raid, one Abubakar Alhassan, nicknamed Abu Dogo, of Ringim LGA, was apprehended and four pieces of 7.62mm live ammunition were confiscated from him.

He further explained that the culprit would be brought to court after an investigation.

According to Shiisu, the suspect is an ex-convict wanted for criminal conspiracy, armed robbery, and culpable homicide in Gabasawa.
