The Jigawa State Government under the leadership off Governor Umar A. Namadi has announced the immediate suspension of Auwalu Sankara, the State Commissioner for Special Duties.
Saturday Telegraph gathered that Sankara was suspended over allegations of an illicit affair with a married woman in an uncompleted building.
Sankara’s suspension was confirmed in a statement made available to newsmen by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Bala Ibrahim, on Saturday.
According to the statement, Governor Namadi who gave his approval for the suspension said it will allow for a thorough investigation into the allegations raised by the Kano State Hisbah.

“This decision reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and upholding the integrity of the state administration,” Ibrahim said.
Also, he emphasized that the suspension is a precautionary measure aimed at facilitating a fair and unbiased investigation.
The government further reiterated its dedication to accountability and ethical governance.
It also stated that all allegations are taken seriously to maintain the trust of Jigawa citizens.
