
Yahuza Umar Labbo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Local Government election for Kirikasamma Local Government Area of Jigawa State has reportedly passed away
The sad development was confirmed on Wednesday by the state Chairman of the party, Aminu Gumel.
At the age of 55, Umar Labbo reportedly died after battling a brief illness.
New Telegraph reports that the unfortunate event occurred just days before the local government election in the State.

Accoriding to sources privy to the development, the politician is survived by three wives and fifteen children.
Governor Umar Namadi extended his condolences to the bereaved family and the entire Muslim community.
He offered prayers to the Almighty Allah, asking for eternal peace for the deceased and strength for the family to endure this loss.
It is worth noting that the Jigawa chapter of the APC suffered yet another sad moment weeks after its headquarters in the state was gutted by fire.
