Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts has posited that criticising the corruption in the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) is not a cybercrime.
Amadi in a statement issued on Sunday via his verified X handle noted that the assertion is defensible and open to dispute.
According to him, using arrest as a quick fix for objectionable speech could be compared to an authoritarian attitude, which shows a lack of problem-solving skills.

He said: “To call @PolicNG corrupt or to say that IGPs have been corrupt is not a cyber crime. It is a statement that can be false or true and can be challenged.
“This quick resort to arrest for disagreeable speech seems like authoritarian response for lack of competence to solve problems.”
