Islamic Book Launch: Kebbi Gov, Wife Donate N5m

The Kebbi State Governor, Com. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, and his wife, Hajiya Zainab Nasare on Tuesday jointly donated the sum of N5 million at the launch of an Islamic Book authored by a prominent Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Dr Turkiy Ibn Salih Almaiman in Sokoto State.

The title of the book ‘ ADDUA TAKOBIN MUMINI ‘ was translated into Hausa Language by Malam Bello Abubakar Nasarawa, Birnin Kebbi.

Governor Idris donated N3 million, while his wife contributed N2 million to support the publication of the book.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Imrana Ibn Usman, Special Adviser to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, who represented the Governor, explained that Comrade Nasir Idris could not attend the launching as a result of an official trip abroad.

He reaffirmed the Governor’s commitment to promoting religious values, encompassing the construction of places of worship, providing support to Islamic publications, and assistance to those in need throughout Kebbi State.

Engr. Imrana conveyed Governor Idris’ commendation to Professor Ibrahim Mansur Sokoto as the mentor of the book traslator, Malam Bello Abubakar Nasarawa for translating a book that offers prayers and supplications for the Muslim Ummah.

“Such noble Islamic initiatives are warmly welcomed by Governor Idris, who is always keen to support efforts aimed at propagating Islam. He has donated N3 million to this noble cause,” he stated.

The Wife of the Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, represented by Malam AbdulRashid, Chairman of NASARA Foundation, presented a donation of N2 million on her behalf.

The Sokoto State Governor, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, was represented by the Commissioner for Islamic Affairs, Dr. Jabir Sani Mai Hulla, while the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, was represented by Professor Mansur Ibrahim Sokoto, Sarkin Malaman Sokoto.
